Available Substance Use Disorders (SUD) Treatment Options
Our organization provides CARF-accredited programming for both inpatient and outpatient services. We offer a holistic approach to substance use disorder treatment from a client-centered perspective. Our current services include:
- ASAM levels 3.1, 3.3, &3.5 Inpatient Substance Use Disorder Treatment
- Outpatient Level 1 and 2.1 (IOP) - both virtual and on-site
Transitional Housing Our multi-faceted, faith-based, treatment approach is tailored for each client regardless of ability to pay.
Available SUD Treatment Options
Outpatient and Residential SUD treatment
Our multi-faceted treatment approach is tailored for each client. Treatment is designed to help individuals take steps toward recovery when they are ready to take them, not in a pre-prescribed timeframe. With three levels of residential treatment, the AHC offers care appropriate to the client’s needs and step-down care so that they may continue on their journey of recovery in a safe, secure environment. Outpatient addiction counseling and independent outpatient programs are offered on-site and via telehealth.
Independent Living and Recovery Maintenance
When individuals have successfully begun the road to recovery, have secured employment or earn an income, they may apply for AHC’s transitional housing program. An individual may remain in transitional housing for up to 18 months if they are complying with requirements of the housing.
Long-term, residential SUD treatment
Treatment progresses through three phases. Clients participate in individual and group therapy, 12-step meetings, and spiritual and recovery education throughout treatment while focusing on key areas in each phase. Upon completion of individualized goals in each phase, clients graduate to the next stage of treatment. Length of time in each phase varies for clients.

Independent Living and Recovery Maintenance
Transitional housing – Individuals completing AHC’s treatment program or community members in recovery for a minimum of 9 months, may apply for transitional housing (based on availability). Accountability is a critical component of this step-down care which includes regular drug testing, participation in therapy and recovery meetings, and rent payments.
Outpatient / IOP/ After-care services – Clients in good standing, regardless of completion of treatment in higher levels of care at AHC, are eligible to participate in outpatient services which include individual therapy with a licensed clinician, chapel services, and volunteer opportunities. The AHC also offers an Independent Outpatient Care program for those individuals who may need high-intensity outpatient treatment.
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)
Science and faith are not mutually exclusive. The Mission’s Addiction Healing Center offers a faith-driven program of care that is committed to utilizing best practices in the field of SUD treatment. Individuals work with a Care Team of specialists who support them in determining their individualized treatment plan. For many individuals, abstinence is the first step in their treatment and provides lasting recovery. For others, it is a longer-term goal, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) can be utilized as a means to achieve and maintain sobriety. Staff at the AHC work with a wide range of individuals and help them meet their individual goals, while utilizing a holistic approach to care.
MAT can be a part of treating addictions to opioids and alcohol. It is an approach that is endorsed by the FDA, the American Medical Association, the American Association of Family Physicians, the US Surgeon General, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, and the World Health Organization. The Addiction Healing Center incorporates the following MAT for clients when appropriate:
- Provided in-house:
- Naltrexone
- Suboxone
- Vivitrol
- Provided through coordinated care with Access Carroll or other providers:
- Vivitrol monthly injections
- Sublocade SubQ monthly injection
Methadone is currently outside of AHC’s service capacity.
