New Life – We believe that true life transformation is not only possible but promised in the redeeming power found in Jesus Christ.
New Hope – The Truth is that even in the wake of the destruction and despair of addiction, nothing is too hard for God, and each person, created in the image of God, is the object of His extravagant love.
A variety of fresh and non-perishable foods, frozen meats and other household food items are available for participants to choose from at our pantry. We typically serve 25 households each day and provide an average of 125 lbs. of food per family. Carroll County residents in need are eligible for our food program. Please call 410-871-4621 to inquire about an application or to make an appointment.
As participants in the Feeding America program, we collect surplus food from over 40 local stores and restaurants and re-distribute it to other providers in the community, including some Carroll County School food pantries, area church pantries, senior citizen centers and others.
The life of the Mission is characterized by the clients working together to maintain the facility and participate directly in serving others through the Mission’s community assistance ministries. Each man is assigned to a Work Station on the campus, at The Mission Store or in the Food Pantry.
The ministry of the Westminster Rescue Mission is supported in part by revenues generated through The Mission Store located on our main campus. The store provides opportunities for bargain shopping for our community while at the same time giving the men in our Recovery Program the chance to learn skills and serve the public. Clients contribute to the operations in the areas of receiving and sorting donations, working with customers in the stores and pick-up and delivery of donations and purchases.
